Our team
We oversee the construction of major water and sewerage projects, including nature-based solutions. By collaborating with local communities, we deliver projects in the most sustainable way possible and ensure value for money is achieved.
Finley Cornwall, Project Manager Apprentice
My role as a Project Manager Apprentice involves supporting the delivery of construction projects by assisting with planning, scheduling and monitoring progress against key milestones.
My responsibilities include helping with cost forecasting and budget tracking, maintaining accurate project documentation and ensuring health, safety and quality standards are met. I also contribute to risk management and coordinate communication between clients, contractors and suppliers.
The role provides great opportunities to learn and develop by working alongside other experienced Project Managers in my team. I am also working towards professional qualifications to build a strong foundation for a future career in project management.
YTL Construction UK is a great place to work, and I’m getting lots of support to help me complete my apprenticeship and get exposure to many different types of challenging and exciting work.

I’m pleased to report it’s exactly as advertised and I have had a thoroughly rewarding career since joining.
We get to work on a great variety of projects in our team. Specifically, I work on storm attenuation, new sewers, flood alleviation schemes and development projects of all sizes. It is the varied, challenging and collaborative nature of the work that I enjoy most.
A team is the sum of all its parts, and this is especially true in network project delivery, where we rely on each other’s experiences and knowledge to help each other achieve our goals. YTL Construction is a very open, modern and forward-thinking company to work for, with an amazing and diverse set of people and teams that are all willing to support each other.
What we do
£2 million new sewer construction in Taunton
The project provided a new sewer system for a new development site. It involved excavation and construction through farmland using various methods such as digging trenches, micro-tunnelling and underground drills called 'Auger Bores'.
"This was an important project to provide a new sewerage connection within the north Taunton area and support local new development in the community. Additional benefits of the scheme mean the project will reduce and prevent flooding issues in the area, while adding more sewerage capacity."
